The Facebook page “Exclusive Porsche Models” have spotted a prototype, of the 2019 Porsche Mission E in Zuffenhausen Germany. Picture in the bottom of the article.
About the Mission E
The Mission E is Porsches first pure electric sports car, with more than 600 HP, the car goes from 0-100 km/h in less than 3,5 seconds. 0-200 is done in less than 12 seconds. Two electric engines power the car. One to power the front axle, and one to power the rear axle. The electric engines recover energy, when breaking.
The Mission E has the four wheel steering, that we know from the 911 GT3 and the Turbo series. According to Porsche the Mission E corners both faster and more precise than the 911 models. Porsche expects the Mission E to lap the Nürburgring “Nordschleife”, in less than 8 minutes.
With a standard voltage of 800 volts, the Mission E needs only 15 minutes of recharge, for 400 kilometres of range. 800-Volt charging stations is planned to be placed along the German freeway. The Mission E is of course able to do with less. It’s as well made to be charged at conventional 400-volt charging points.
